1. CONTAINER HANDLING EQUIPMENT

The PORTAINER® CRANE is the key element in ship to shore operations. Its speed, precision and controllability ensure optimum container throughput.

The type and size of the Portainer® Crane are defined as a function of the characteristics of the largest ship expected to dock where the cranes on one side, and the characteristics of the dock where the rail track is located in relation to high and low tides on the other.

The TRANSTAINER® CRANE is the key element invented by Paceco® for handling containers in a terminal.

The Rubber Tyred Transtainer® Crane or RTT® is a rigid gantry crane mounted on large rubber tyres which travels in a straight line on a horizontal path, just the same as if it were running on rails.

The Rail Mounted Transtainer® Crane or RMT® is used in railways intermodal centers where although stacking is not a priority, the easy and quick handling of containers and trailers means the difference between profits and losses.

The standard Paceco® container lifting SPREADER is an all welded structural steel assembly with a center section supporting two moveable cantilevered sections positioned by hydraulic cylinders.

The twist-locks are accurately positioned for latching within the top corner castings at each end of the container.
