PORTAINER® CRANE
The Portainer® Crane is the key element in ship to shore operations. Its speed, precision and controllability ensure optimum container throughput.
The type and size of the Portainer® Crane are defined as a function of the characteristics of the largest ship expected to dock where the cranes on one side, and the characteristics of the dock where the rail track is located in relation to high and low tides on the other.
As well as having optimum performance, the crane should be the simplest and most reliable possible.
When defining the crane parameters it should be recognised that the earning capacity of the investment in the crane stems from the earning capacity of the ship docked beneath it. To achieve this the operation needs to optimise two factors, the speed with which the ship may be loaded and unloaded, and the certainty that the crane will function reliably when the ship arrives. The Portainer® Crane achieves both objectives.
